- The @RealFlokiInu DAO proposed a partnership with an asset manager to launch an Exchange-Traded Product (ETP) tracking the FLOKI token in Europe.
Key Details:
- An ETP is an investment vehicle similar to an ETF, but with a different structure. It will be tradable on stock exchanges, offering a way for institutional and retail investors to access FLOKI in a regulated manner.
- SIX Swiss Exchange, one of Europe’s largest, would list the Floki ETP.
- If approved, Floki will join Dogecoin as the only meme tokens with an ETP. Floki differs from Dogecoin as it targets a much larger Swiss exchange, unlike Dogecoin, which trades on Sweden’s Spotlight Stock Market.
The DAO’s Proposal
- The Floki DAO is seeking community approval to use a portion of the 16.3 billion FLOKI tokens held in its treasury for liquidity provisioning.
- These tokens were acquired over three years through community buybacks, worth over $2.8 million.
- If the proposal is approved, Floki would provide liquidity for the ETP and also retain ownership of the tokens.
- The community vote runs for 48 hours, ending December 27.
